THE ARGINET PROJECT
On December 4th 2012 began, with the kick-off meeting in Faenza, the project named ARTISTIC "ARGILLA" (CLAY) ACTIONS FOR EU CERAMIC NETWORK (in short ARGINET), with the support of the Culture Programme of the European Union.
The project has roots in the relations established between Faenza's ceramic festival Argillà Italia with other European cities organisers of similar events, in particular with its mother-event Argilla in Aubagne (France) and Topfermarkt in Gmunden (Austria), Fira del Cantir in Argentona (Spain) and Święto Ceramiki in Bolesławiecz (Poland).
ARGINET aims at implementing, within an existing network of partners and events, some of the important goals mentioned in the Culture Program of the European Union. In particular, it intends to promote dialogue and intercultural exchange in Europe and to realize a program of interchange and mid-term development of actions, promoting the presence of artists and ceramic animations at the European level (such as pottery wheel operators, open-air firings, workshops for children or people in social distress).
